White Birch Armory

The project included 13,600 square feet dedicated to a state-of-the-art sixteen-lane, 25 yard indoor shooting range, axe throwing lanes, and warehouse space built of insulated concrete form and structural steel, with a 8,144 square foot retail show room of light gauge metal frame construction. The facility also provides classrooms, a member lounge & administrative offices. The indoor shooting range is divided into two bays, including 1 tactical bay that allows for training up and down the entire length of the range. The axe-throwing lanes offer 6 stalls, with two targets each, and are built to World Axe-Throwing League standards. Unique aspects of the project included a live-fire tactical gun range with a specialized range ventilation system and acoustical panels for sound mitigation. The climate-controlled ventilation system exceeds NIOSH, EPA , and OSHA air quality standards.
