UNH McConnell Hall

  • 60,000 sq. ft. renovation
  • Design/Build Contract
  • $8 million contract value
  • Design provided by JSA, Inc.
  • 11 month construction schedule – completed in June 2014

North Branch was awarded the Design/Build contract in July 2013 to perform the renovations to the University of New Hampshire’s McConnell Hall. JSA, Inc. of Portsmouth, NH joined the team providing the design for the project. The four-story, 60,000 square foot, general purpose academic building located on the eastern edge of the campus was originally constructed in 1967. Previously home to the university’s Business school, the building was renovated to be used as a classroom and office building for the Psychology, Sociology, the Family Research Lab, and the College of Liberal Arts.

Due to limited renovations over the years, many of the building systems at McConnell Hall were at or near the end of their useful life and were replaced as part of this renovation.

Construction was completed in early August 2014.
