Sutton Highway Garage

After two years of meetings, discussions, and planning by the Town of Sutton, the Town voters approved the Design-Build plan to replace their existing 44-year-old, 2,900-square-foot highway garage with a new 9,984-square-foot, $1.2 million facility. The existing facility was demolished and construction began on the new facility. The new wood-framed building features 7 bays (including a wash bay), office space, a break room, a locker room, a cistern and sprinkler system. The Design-Build team incorporated an innovative concrete cistern for fire protection that was integrated into the foundation walls of the building and saved the Town of Sutton the expense of constructing a separate tank. Construction was completed two and a half weeks ahead of the contract schedule. The original scope was completed well under budget. North Branch Construction incorporated numerous improvements valued at $30,000 to deliver a building better than the one that was originally designed for $5,000 less than the GMP. TF Moran of Bedford, NH teamed with North Branch Construction providing the civil, structural and architectural plans.
