Mont Vernon Fire Station

  • Design/Build
  • Features Radiant Heat in Slab
  • $1.4 million
  • 7,800 square feet

North Branch Construction was chosen as Design/Build contractor by the Mont Vernon Fire Department Building Committee from a final group of 3 contractors (15 contractors had originally responded to the RFP). North Branch teamed with Udelsman Associates and provided the committee with design and pre-construction services including two preliminary design scenarios and estimates in October 2006. The committee chose Scheme A and drawings were updated for their choice. North Branch solicited bids from our list of pre-qualified subcontractors and provided the committee with a budget quote November 2006 to bring before the voters in March 2007.

With a positive vote in March, final plans were drawn and demolition of the existing fire station began in late May. North Branch broke ground for the new wood framed facility in June. The 66′ x 122′ building features masonry block with wood walls and wood roof trusses, cement board siding, asphalt shingles and radiant heat in the slab. The project was completed in early December 2007.
