The first phase of project was the new salt shed for the DPW, which was a pre-fabricated metal-framed building. The frame was wrapped with a 28-mil, PCV-coated polyester fabric. The addition to the fire station included bunk rooms, showers, a locker room, and a kitchen. The police station project included an addition with 4 vehicle bays, an admissions area with holding cell, and renovations to the existing building which included relocation of the entrance and the fit-up of offices throughout the two-story building. Both facilities remained occupied and in full operation throughout the construction period.
