North Branch was chosen General Contractor to build an addition to the Fire Training Academy for the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation as low bidder (out of 6) for the project. The 3 story, steel frame, brick veneered, 15,448 square foot addition was constructed in Concord, NH and includes a 24 room dormitory and fire training classrooms. Sherman Greiner Halle Ltd. were the Architects for the project. Sitework began in late July and steel erection began in September. Steel was completed in late October with the brick veneer well underway in November. By December, plumbing, electrical, mechanical ductwork work was ongoing and windows were installed. Interior construction continued through the winter months and by March the interior finishes and casework were underway. Start-up and testing of mechanical and electrical systems begin in April. Site improvements were able to resume in late April. Final paving and landscaping was completed the last week of May with substantial completion May 23rd, 5 weeks ahead of the contract completion date.
