Meet the Principals

Ken Holmes
President, Project Executive

Ken has over 25 years’ experience in Construction Management and Finance with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. Prior to working at North Branch, Ken worked for an investment bank in New York before starting his own real estate development and construction management company in New London, NH in 1987. He joined North Branch in 1989 as a Project Manager and became a Principal and Vice-President in 1990, General Manager in 1996, and the President of the company in 2006. Ken is also a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor.

Bruce Blazon
General Manager, Project Manager/Estimator

Bruce has over 21 years’ experience supervising commercial and residential projects including industrial, clean rooms, institutional, and multi-unit residential projects. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1987-1991 with service on mainland Japan for 18 months followed by 2 years in 1st Battalion 6th Marine Regiment. He participated in Operation Desert Shield and is a Combat Veteran of Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged in 1991. Bruce joined North Branch Construction in 1992 as a carpenter and foreman advancing to Project Superintendent in 1998, and Principal and Vice President in 2004. Bruce is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional and also a licensed Massachusetts Construction Supervisor.

James Schwartzkopf
Vice President, Project Manager/Estimator

Jim has over 20 years’ experience in commercial construction including multi-unit residential, luxury townhouses, medical, office, and retail facilities. Jim joined North Branch in 2001 and became a Principal and Vice President in 2004. Jim is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional BD+C.

Vice President, Project Manager/Estimator

Joe is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional BD+C and ASHE Certified Healthcare Constructor who has been with the firm for over sixteen years. He began working at North Branch in the field during the summers in high school and continued on to an estimating internship with the firm during his time at New England College. Upon graduation in 2003, he became an Assistant Project Manager at North Branch, and in 2005 he was given the role of Project Manager. He became a Principal and Vice President in 2014. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT Chapter (ABC NH/VT).

Vice President, Treasurer

Chris began his career at North Branch in 2005 as a carpenter and in 2008 was promoted to the position of Assistant Project Superintendent and Finish Carpentry Crew Supervisor. In this position, he assisted the Project Superintendent by coordinating and leading carpenters for finish work including moulding, casework, cabinetry, doors, frames, and hardware. In 2012 Galbraith became a Project Superintendent. He became a Principal and Vice President in 2014.
