After the towns voters approved the construction of a new police station and renovation of the existing police station for the fire/rescue department, the Town of Hillsborough contracted North Branch as Construction Manager for the two projects. Once plans were completed by Bruce Ronayne Hamilton Architects, Inc. of New Ipswich, NH, North Branch solicited bids from pre-qualified local contractors and delivered the Guaranteed Maximum Price on August 5, 1997. Construction of the new Police Station, located on Dump Road in the center of town, began in mid August. The new one story, wood trussed roof facility features a split face block masonry bearing exterior. Construction on the new Police Station was completed in December at which time the Police occupied the new facility. As the Police moved into their new facility, renovations to the existing facility began for the Fire and Rescue Department. The new addition (to the former Police Station) includes a training room, and the entire facility was renovated with new finishes as well as modernized mechanical and electrical systems. The renovations were completed in February. The project was completed approximately $69,000 below the Guaranteed Maximum Price.
