North Branch was awarded the contract to build a new distribution facility for FCI, USA in Londonderry in March and construction began in mid April. FCI Electrical, Inc. (formerly known as Burndy) is headquartered in Manchester, NH and is part of Framatone Connectors International (with facilities worldwide), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high quality electrical connectors. The new 68,850 square foot facility includes a 15,350 square foot mezzanine finished for open/fixed office space. The facility is designed for a high lift picking system (up to 28 feet in narrow isles) which requires consistantly flat and stable 8" thick concrete slab floors. The steel framed facility is located on Aviation Drive (within close proximity of the Manchester Airport) and therefore, has been equipped with acoustical glass and other sound proofing materials. Sitework began in April and by mid July, steel erection was well underway. By early September the building was enclosed and work continued on the interior and site. The project was completed in October. CMK Architects of Manchester designed the facility and T.F. Moran is providing the civil engineering.
