Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles Addition, Concord, NH
North Branch was chosen Design/Build contractor as low bidder for the design and construction of the Division of Motor Vehicles Phase II (addition) for the Department of Safety, State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation. The facility is located on Hazen Drive in Concord, NH. North Branch was awarded the contract in March and with design development complete, sitework began in early April. Foundations were completed in May and erection of the structural steel began in early June. By mid July roof trusses were being hoisted into place. By early September the roof construction was complete and exterior finishes (brick veneer and EIFS) were being installed and interior drywall underway. The project was completed in December 2004, 2 weeks ahead of contract schedule. In early January, the State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles, dedicated the building to the former governor, Steven Merrill. Udelsman Associates of Hollis, NH teamed with North Branch Construction for the design of the 34,000 square foot, two story $4.1 million project. Aerial photo provided by Tom Hettinger.
