North Branch Construction was chosen the Design/Build Contractor for two new municipal pools at White and Rollins Parks in Concord after an open bid process in which North Branch was the low bidder. The $765,000 project includes a new L shaped zero-depth ramp entrance pool with a deep end at Rollins Park and a 0 - 42 inch pool with three water features including a tear drop, tumble bucket and spouting whale at White Park. Construction began the first week of March. Construction at both sites also included new bath houses. An existing building at White Park will be maintained as a winter skate house. Site improvements and 6 foot high chain link fences were completed at both sites. Despite a late March snowstorm construction continued ahead of schedule, without interruption, and was completed the first week of June. The City of Concord opened the pools to the public June 18, 1998. |
