North Branch was chosen General Contractor for the 45 townhouse apartments after an aggressive bidding process which placed North Branch as the low bidder. The new, 80,000 square foot, $2.9 million project located in Dover, NH included the townhouse apartments plus an office and maintenance building. The project consisted of 4 handicapped units, 4 adaptable units, 37 three-floor units, a playground, nature walk trails, and open space play areas. The 6 apartment buildings are wood framed with shingled wood truss roofing and vinyl siding. The project broke ground September 22, 1997. Foundations were in place October 13th and framing began October 22nd. On March 9th, tenants began moving into Building A, which includes 6 three bedroom apartments, 1 handicap (2 bedroom) unit and 1 adaptable (2 bedroom) apartment. Building B, which consists of 8 three bedroom units, was ready for occupancy March 16th. The remainder of the buildings were completed in early May, 65 days ahead of contract schedule. Gawron Associates of Scarborough, Maine were the architects for the project which is owned by the Addison-Dover Limited Partnership of Portland, Maine.
